This happened during our school days, I was probably 9-10 and my brother was around 7 or 8, him and his entire guy gang, in fact almost every other boy from school was digging for the Pikachu freebie in Cheetos they had purchased around 10 packets each but had zero luck, it was the first loss or defeat for manhood… because me - Lila/Zara, who had just purchased her very first packet that too, for eating, effortlessly found that (super elusive) Pikachu even when she wasn’t looking for it. I happened to mention it in front of my mom and the shopkeeper aunty who knew us since KG exclaimed, “Youuu got Pikachu? Haha good… there were several boys who were looking for it!” I wasn’t interested in it so I gave it to my mother and she kept it in her handbag, if we would’ve had internet back then I would have probably auctioned it or sold it on eBay, later in the evening… this happened: Since my brother had ran out of cheetos and enough luck when he was daydreaming about finding that “Pikachu”… you must’ve heard “Billi ke khwaab mein chitre hi chitre” it was exactly like that, he went near my mom’s purse and told himself, “What if I Magically 💫 find that Pikachu over here, like if it’ll just pop out of this bag?” He literally wished for it and opened the purse and voila there it was. Now I was finally interested in that Pikachu I started asking for it and he said, “Mummy got it for me” he thought she too tried her luck to find a Pikachu for him in another packet… but then I told him that I found it in my Cheetos, he said, “Losers weepers, finders keepers” and ran away, he wanted to brag amongst his friends and become their leader or something, it was so elusive, they would’ve literally worshipped him… he told me that he was just wishing for it and he thought he would magically find it in that bag… I stopped fighting, he went straight to his friends who were thoroughly impressed by him and he was their leader now. I just thought it was wrong but the only thing that kept me from taking it back was that Magic part, for him it was now a “lucky charm” the closest thing to magic… a wonderful stroke of luck, something more than serendipitous… it was his deepest wish and it was right there where he was looking for it, his only hope, no matter how silly even if it wasn’t a Cheetos packet but a random place like someone’s handbag, I thought maybe I was just an intermediary, I felt like it was always his and I still feel it belonged to him.

McDonald’s had once introduced a very fancy toy but they had supplied very few pieces in fact no one was getting that particular toy from the entire range of Disney’s new Merch (they were promoting some animated film) I don’t remember my exact age but I think I was around 9 it was also one of MCD’s biggest toys because they would mostly have miniatures… me and my brother went to McDonald’s cuz we were hungry and luckily I found that toy in my Happy Meal, we saw all other kids were going near the showcase and asking for that specific toy so my parents asked me to keep it back inside the box or that Happy Meal Carton (in order to hide it) cuz those children were very serious about it, they were constantly asking the staff where that toy was… I also felt a bit bad for them, didn’t want to rub it in their faces. When we went home, we realised it was much more special than we thought, it was glowing because it was made out of radium, so it was literally glowing in the dark, it was like a full sized snow globe where instead of a round encasing it had beautiful closed flower petals (which would glow) and when you would press the button or whatever mechanism it had, they would slowly open up and a twirling Tinkerbell would gradually show up from inside, you could then encase her back into those petals. We were both amazed… haha it was so pretty.
