Case Files: Silent Eyes, Stealthy Lies
Internet encourages all of us to be more vocal and expressive. It has also reduced our threshold and made us more impatient and intolerant than ever... But that guy even in these tough times is so unsettled that it's unsettling. While we are all engulfed with looming despondency and crippling uncertainties, he is unearthed... everyone else is trying to live to the fullest, taking personal initiatives, doing the unimaginable, being as kind as possible, we are all trying our best to reach out to each other, even strangers in order to bring some solace, equanimity and peace... even the "baddest guys" are busy rocking their boats but he other than being as insensitive and callus as always is also, standing “still.” As if stalling someone’s life wasn’t enough. It’s been half a decade... So far my story since 2015 in 11 words has been (I had quoted this in 2018 itself):
Inevitable - Innocuous - Ineffable - Infallible - Insidious - Insouciant - Indelible Insomniac - Inertia - Inimitable & Finally Indignant
I had a very bad encounter with some man who was rightly deemed as a megalomaniac, egoistic psycho, he would physically abuse his partner and cheat on her, he was from the same industry who was later exposed during the #Metoo movement... I could vouch for that girl 'cuz I knew he was emotionally manipulative and exploitive, also very callous... but what’s surprising is that even he was not this apathetic! He was at least responsive, unlike him, he would communicate, react and interact. He wasn’t like an evasive, mute and inactive, invisible Phantom who’d lurk the depths of inertia and ambiguity and promise a “never, never ending story.” No one bothers strangers by using their friend’s IDs or talking behind their back... without any objective, it gets more intimidating when you see them dodging every finger by keeping below the surface and remaining still, whatsoever.
He monopolised my thoughts to get me all curious but then someone heard my ordeal and whispered, “You know, what they say... curiosity killed the cat!”
I was like, “A cat has 9 lives.”

P.S. Told you, God exists... I was thinking about that guy & the whole birthday fiasco cuz I had a dream about his gifts. I was constantly agonising over it while looking up for flat white sachets & surprising I came across this👇🏻its a message, out of context! P.S. we do get flat white in my own society, there’s a gourmet store in the opp wing (with affordable prices) but I wanted to see the description, review etc.
